Two years ago Sally and Johnnie Furlong decided to move their Vineyard Cellar Door to a more convenient location at the Fairview Centre, situated only two minutes from Mudgee. The hundred year old building has heaps of rustic charm and includes a large cool cellar. The Cellar is used to conduct wine tastings during the Summer months.
The Fairview complex also includes an intersting local art gallery where you can also enjoy a real cup of coffee & cake, a Wool Shed with hand knitted garments, and a local produce Gourmet Shop - something for everyone to experience.
As part of the move a decision was made to include other small wine producers that did not have a Cellar Door, and were looking for an outlet to showcase their wines. The new location makes for a convenient place for visitors with limited time to call in and sample some great wines, all in the one location.
Are you looking for reasonable wine prices that can be found only two minutes from Mudgee? At the Small Wine Makers Centre you can sample wines from over eight award winning boutique wine makers.
The rustic 100 year old Cellar Door has a real Wine Cellar, beneath the main Cellar Door area - this is where you will find us for wine tasting in the hot summer months.
The Small Wine Makers Centre is part of the Fairview Centre, so look for this sign as you turn into Henry Lawson Drive. The Fairview Centre includes an Art Gallery where you can enjoy a real coffee, yummy home made cakes, or a Ploughman's Lunch, a Wool Shop with hand knitted garments, plus a gourmet shop full of local produce that includes honey, cheese, and hazel nuts.
Lots to see and do for everyone.
